I started with Gunbound Revolution sometime in 2008. When GBNA shutdown in 2009, I transferred over to the Gunbound International server (Softnyx), and stayed there for about a year until they decided to make the game unplayable without paying. I found out about the classic server at gunbound.ca some time in 2010 and I've been there ever since. Through these years, I've had the pleasure of meeting many outstanding people and have made many friends along the way.
In terms of gameplay, I enjoy the process of analyzing shot data in order to produce and create new practical formulas for shot-making. Therefore, most of the time I will be experimenting with new ideas or yet unfamiliar shot types in order to add more to my repertoire and push the boundaries of what's possible. The first mobile I started working with in this manner was Turtle. To this day, I love Turtle's high versatility in terms of shot-making and its numerous shot combinations possible with tornadoes.

ohaitar peopleeeee!
Year 2004... I started playing softnyx GBTH. It was introduced by a friend. It was love at first sight. Spring went.. Snow fell... Seasons passed. Wicked greed triumphs. Now all that remains, were piles of cash. I left for another. For the better, for the worse. "Hello ijji" I said. There I stayed. For an eternity. (or what seems like it) Till life do us part. True enough.. reality strikes. I was taken..far away, from my beloved. For years I never returned. Til 1 day, figments of my old flame surfaced...
AND HERE I AM! Meeting great people and playing GBC thor's hammer ~~~

Name: Annie
Favorite mobile: Boomer
Main mobiles: Trico, Turtle
Decent mobiles: Ice, Armor, A. Sate, Nak, Grub, Aduka, JD
Terrible mobiles: Raon, Bigfoot, Lightning
Shooting method: Drag, except for ass shots
Introduction: I played GBWC starting around 2007, and then Gunbound Revolution on ijji (with Sarah/Seraphim) before it was shut down in 2009. I briefly moved to Softnyx afterwards, but the additional of item2s and pet abilities, among other additions, made it difficult to find fair games, but I was able to fortuitously come across Gunbound Classic Thor's Hammer in 2011, which is roughly the time that I started to play around with physics equations and formulas in relation to the game and found some decent models using Excel for various mobiles, which actually motivated me to continue experimentation with the ultimate goal of "cracking the gunbound code", to this day. I could just try and find the coding of the game directly, but that wouldn't be any fun. This is the server that I play in today and there remains an active and thriving community consisting of both old and new members. This is where I met Eric, Andy and Rachel. I'm always trying to find new formulas that work well using physical models, and I am a firm proponent of Occam's razor, the principle that the simplest hypotheses, that is, the ones with the fewest assumptions, are more likely to be correct, but of course, Gunbound does not quite exactly fit under all classical Newtonian laws, so certain adjustments must be made. Small hidden variables can only be understood through countless hours of trial and error, and there will always be some kind of natural random (human) error involved as well, because measuring distances will never quite precise enough without use of a third-party program that would directly analyze the game. For these reasons, one might say, Gunbound is an ongoing struggle to perfect the mechanics of particular mobiles and strategic principles. In my personal opinion, the thrill of Gunbound comes from knowing that your hard work and experience has paid off in the form of landing shots consistently and predictably, but also from random occurrences that are unexpected and thrilling in their novelty and suddenness (e.g. fancy tornado shots). But a third and probably, for many, the most compelling reason to play GB is that it is a very sociable game where one can directly converse with others on the Internet and make connections that will possibly last years or even decades! How one enjoys the game varies from person to person, but I think everyone who plays the game will agree that at the end of the day, it's always nice to have some other group of people on the Internet to talk to about, well, life.

Name: Jessie Favorite mobile: Dragon Main mobiles: Boomer, JD, and *ahem* Aduka Decent mobiles: Ice (I know it's the same as JD but the mobility & shot origin differences mess me up), Grub, Lightning, Armor (&high angle turtle) Terrible mobiles: ****ING TRICO. Shooting method: Depends on my laptop's position. On a desk, drag w/mouse. On my lap, slice w/touchpad drag for full powers
My journey began ~2005 with GunBound Thor's Hammer by Softnyx. I tried it once at my friend's house and couldn't stop! Grub for gold, aduka for fast GP... I dabbled in all the mobiles trying to get good, but boomer would ultimately prove to be my lover. Lobs, hooks, backshots..she could do it all! I spent a year slinging only boomerangs in an attempt to grasp it's power. I lost a lot of sleep over this game (and still do to this day) but it was worth it. Once World Champion came out, the game was ruined for me. Rent avatars? What a waste of gold! It became clear that Softnyx only wanted money so I quit.
Fast-forward to 2012 and the same friend told me he found a private server called gunbound.ca that ran Thor's Hammer like a boss. A few boomerangs later and I was hooked all over again and haven't left since! I met a bunch of cool kids that were kind enough to teach me a thing or two about formulas and developed a newfound love for the mathematical aspect of the game. Suddenly, hitting someone 2 screens away with a shotgun through 3 tornadoes became consistently possible. I strive to continue learning as much as I can about this beloved game. Along with my guildmates, I will be the Requiem that lays you the rest.

Name: Andy "SeKz" Rosario Description: M.I.R. Monkey in Raincoat Favorite Mobiles: Boomer/Nak Shooting Method: Sniper/Slice/4.0 Drags Playing Method: Ass shot Tricks, Sniper Hooks, Slice Movements
2007 There's always a first time for everything. We have had our first shots, our first hits, our first misses, and of course our first team kills. Even though we have had our ups and downs, there's always that time when our life changes for the best. Being in the guild "SeKzGoDz" changed me (That's How I Got My Name I Guess). Not only do I feel more sekz, but I've learned, improved, and embraced what I've become. With every shot I've done and every shot I haven't done, I get one step closer to where I want to be. With the guildmates I had in the guild, I began to learn how to shoot more consistently and accurately. Every shot I did was never a waste. I didn't form back then, and to this day, I don't feel like I am myself a former. I used my experience to play the game of gb. And with that in mind, I not only remember the shot, but I remember the "pattern of the shot." In other words, I use the data I collected on my misses and mistakes to make better guesses when shooting at a target, as no formula or feel is perfect.
As time goes on, nothing lasts forever. I've been in a number of guilds such as DrkChaos, is2, LordTm, United, Dog (Chinese Name of it...I think). My favorite guilds so far that I've been a part of are KST, sonaTa, Definite, uniX, 4stars, and right now Requiem. These guilds symbolize what it means to be in gunbound. To be surrounded by a group of great friends who love the game of gb just the same way I love it. SonaTa was the first guild I've been a part of. It was a nice group of friends with Blankets (Kevin), Intelligent (Sunny), Twisted412 (Josh), Uniqq (Rubin), and Tim (Tim). And recently, 4stars and uniX were the main goals toward why I played gunbound. Through all the years I've played gunbound, I learned how to be unique in my own way in order to be recognized. Making it into uniX and 4stars were proofs that I had made progress.
2015 And right now, Requiem is a guild I admire, and it is the last destination I will make where I want to share my remaining days of gunbound and be a part of. Thanks for having me in requiem.
